Lightweight Insulating Concrete Roof Deck Systems
Our typical "LWIC Roof Deck Systems" Consist of six parts, a base of steel deck or an equivalent approved substrate, then a bond coat is applied (a LWIC slurry fills the flutes of metal deck, and depressions, voids, and joints in other substrates so that air infiltration is eliminated. LWIC roof decks have neither the joint problems nor thermal drift characteristics associated with other rigid board insulation systems.), Then we place the EPS board which is one of the most dimensionally stable roof insulations available and does not loose R-Value. Above the EPS we pour the main Lightweight Insulating Concrete, which fully encapsulates our tapered EPS, and slope our pour to the appropriate drains. After installation our system can be finished with standard single ply or built up roofing membranes.
